What's In-Stock vs. Backorder?"
In-Stock: Ready-to-ship pieces → Dispatched within 2 business days after the order window closes.
Backorder: Made-to-order pieces → Estimated dispatch dates are listed on each product page.
📌 Important Notes:
- If your order includes both in-stock and backorder items, everything will ship together once ALL backorders are ready. Your order will follow the LATEST dispatch date.
To open up In-Stock availability for those who wish to order only In-Stock pieces, if you place an order that includes at least one Backorder, any in-stock pieces in your order will be moved to backorder status.
- If you'd like your In-Stock items sooner, we recommend ordering them separately from Backorder pieces.

+ E: Temporary Shipping Update for Select EU Countries
Due to a recent change in EU customs regulations, postal parcel acceptance to certain EU destinations has been temporarily suspended. We are currently unable to dispatch In-stock orders to the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal
For this reason, regular checkout is temporarily unavailable for customers shipping to these destinations.
Backorders are still available for customers who are happy to wait until postal service resumes.
If you would like to place a Backorder, please contact us directly. We can provide a private checkout link once you have confirmed the extended shipping timeline.
Your pieces will be carefully made and prepared according to our usual August Backorder schedule.
・If postal service has resumed by the August Backorder dispatch dates, your order will be dispatched as scheduled.
・If service has not resumed by then, we will store your order safely and dispatch it as soon as postal service to your destination resumes.
As the resumption date is outside of our control, we unfortunately cannot provide an exact shipping date at this time.

📌Duties & Taxes
Orders outside Canada may be subject to additional import fees, which include VAT, duty, any other local processing fee, upon receipt, depending on your country's regulations that you will be responsible for. Please note that maison miak does not have any control over these fees.
Exception** United States: Applicable customs duties are included in your order total and prepaid at checkout. You should not be required to pay these duties again upon delivery.
📌Note: maison miak has no control over these charges, and we cannot accept returns due to refused fees.

We will ship your items to the address you provide.
If the parcel gets returned due to an insufficient/wrong address, or the parcel is not picked up within the carrier’s holding period and is returned to us, a resending fee will apply to ship it again.
